Fresh-Baked Bread
Dark rye, Borodinsky, Lithuanian black bread and multigrain loaves, brought in fresh and sliced at the counter on request.
The bread shelf is the first thing regulars check. Dense, dark, properly sour rye — the kind that holds up under herring and butter — alongside softer white loaves, rolls and sweet pastries.
Mornings have the fullest selection. By late afternoon the popular loaves are usually gone.
